Abstract (EN)

Just as people established settlements on the slopes throughout the past, people living today can establish settlements on the slopes in order to get away from the city life and meet their families' members. In these kinds of settlements, transportation is one of the most important. Cutting and filling slopes can occur on the lines used for transportation. These inclined surfaces have the potential to move downwards due to both the effect of gravity and climatic conditions. In this respect, stabilizing the slopes is among the most important tasks of Civil and Geotechnical Engineers. In this thesis, slope stability methods, slope movements, soil classification, determination of soil parameters, landslides and landslide prevention methods are explained. Soil investigations were carried out in the landslide area and a geotechnical soil survey report was prepared. Firstly, the current situation of landslide that occurred in the region was analysed and the safety coefficient value was found to be 0.79. In the land, which poses a landslide risk, the palisade was excavated and the safety coefficient was found to be 1.11. In the system where the desired safety factor value could not be reached, a shoring wall was tried to be built and as a result of the analysis, the safety factor was found to be 1.27. In the system analysed using the bored pile system, the safety coefficient value was found to be 1.84., and the safety coefficient value, which was desired to exceed 1.50, was obtained. As a result of the analyses made, the system, which is predicted to minimize the landslide risk, has been made safe. In order to prevent landslides, soil improvement and analysis were analysed using the finite element method.
