Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to determine the conditions of pulp production by Kraft method from stalks of sorghum plant obtained from Bartın province. Sorghum stalks were cut 5 cm in size and prepared to the stage where pulp can be made. According to the literature, the duration of reaching the maximum temperature was fixed for 60 minutes and the active alkaline ratio was changed to 10-14% and the sulphide ratios were changed to 0-4-8-12-16%. Thirty groups of paper were obtained by beating up to 35 ± 2 and 50 ± 2SR ° without beating from the pulp obtained according to the above conditions. It is aimed to determine the optimum alkaline and sulfide ratios by the standard tests of the screened pulp yield, kappa number, viscosity and paper obtained from these pulps. The highest screened pulp yield was obtained in the active alkali 14% and sulfide 12% conditions. Since the mechanical properties of the papers obtained from these pulps were compared with the literature, it was concluded that these ratios could be taken as a cooking condition.
