The effect of producing an idea technic on students academic achievement at teaching social studies

The main goal of this research is to analyze the effect of producing an idea technic on students academic achievement at Social Studies. The independent variables of the research are ''technique for producing idea" and ''classical teaching method'' The dependent variable of the research is academic achievements of the students. The research was designed as a pre-testing and post-testing. Experiment and control groups of the research were created with 35 experiment and 35 control group students which were equal to each other in terms of academic success from B and A branches of Ağrı Patnos İMKB Secondary School, 6 th grade. Study and the research were carried out for both experiment and control groups by researcher. Control and experiment groups, which were equal to each other in terms of academic success, were applied pre-test scale before the research in order to measure academic success. Then, control group was delivered lecture for five weeks in classical learning method whereas experimental group was delivered lectures in technique for producing idea depending on student's active role in the clasroom. Following the end of the process of lectures, post-test was applied to both groups. The obtained data was examined through SPSS 20.0 data analyses program. According to the obtained results, it was comprehended that technique for producing idea was understood to be more beneficial and the experimental group students were more successful than the control group of students.
