Evaluati̇ng the vi̇ews of the school pri̇nci̇pals, concerni̇ng the profi̇ci̇ency level i̇n classroom management of the social studies teachers. (A sample of provience of Diyarbakır-Ergani district)

The aim of the study is to determine according to the views of the school principals, the proficiency level in classroom management of the social studies teachers in Ergani district of Diyarbakır. The research consisted of three components; introduction and problem situation, methods, findings and comments. Additionally, the conclusion and suggestions section was involved which based on to the findings and comments. A total of 69 goverment school principals in 28 goverment middle schools in Ergani district of Diyarbakır took part in the study, which made of survey method, in the Spring Term of 2012-2013 Academic Year; however available data was gotten from 52 of implemented questionnairies. The research carried out on the exemplifying itself universe, besides sampling method was not taken. The data concerning the aim of studing was gathered from `Classroom Management Skills Evaluation Scale?, 2 sub-dimension and 64 section developed by Baloğlu (1998) and adapted by Ağaoğlu (2004). At the process of data analysis, based on research purpose, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and one way analysis of variance (to compare more than two groups) statistical techniques were used. According to the views of the principals, related to the proficiency level in classroom management of the social studies teachers were found out in ? I agree? level. Furthermore In the other personal characteristics variables, any significant differencies were not found out. According to the results of research findings, concerning the proficiency level on activity management of the social studies teachers were observed the lowest level. On account of this, with relation to this removal of defection, on activity management, social studing teachers are suggested to need being raised awareness by expert.
