Abstract (EN)
The research aims to investigate the life satisfaction levels of mothers of children who benefit from social and economic support (SED) services on behalf of their children, and the impact of the social and economic support they receive within the scope of SED services on behalf of their children, as a result of their low socio-economic levels, on whether the social aid meet their needs and on their life satisfaction. The study included 200 female participants who reside in Diyarbakır's Yenişehir district and applied to the Yenişehir Social Service Center Directorate for the social and economic support service, and whose application was accepted, and who benefited from the social and economic support service on behalf of their children, and the participants were reached using the simple random sampling technique. Participants were asked a Preliminary Information Form consisting of 21 questions containing demographic information and a Life Satisfaction scale consisting of 5 questions, and a quantitative method / survey design was used. In the analysis of the data obtained as a result of the research; A data analysis program was used and the findings resulting from the analyzes were interpreted. In the analysis of the data obtained as a result of the research; quantitative data analysis package program was used and the data were interpreted by applying various test. This study aims to know the level of life satisfaction of mothers who take care of their children as single parents. As a result of the findings obtained by the research, it was found that mothers who benefited from the SED service on behalf of their children had very low life satisfaction level, they were far from their ideals in many aspects of life, there were many things they wanted to change in their lives, their living conditions were not good, and the SED support received was not sufficient to meet their social and cultural needs. It has been determined that SED support is insufficient to meet the needs of both themselves and their children and that they have difficulty in making a living.
