Abstract (EN)
the eating habits of the parents from the social perspective in research aimed to investigate the effect on the chid's obesity. The research is a descriptive study type of scan. The resaerch sample aged 4-15 living in Yalova 150 is composed of children and parents. Children and their parents were determined with the use of questionnaires views on eating and drinking behvior of parents. The questionnaire used in accordance with the purpose of the study was composed of two parts. İn the first part of the survey of children in the survey questions and the children while their parents place on demographic characteristics; In the second part of the questionnaire contains questions related to eating and drinking behavior of parents. Research to analyze the data using SPSS 22.0 sftware package was used. Research on children's BMI values are calculated first and the BMI of children and the manner in which both vary depending on the demographic characteristics of the parents where the chi-square(x2) was determined by analysis. Also children's relationship with their eating and drinking behaviors of parental BMI chi-square(x2) were determined upon the analysis. According to the survey results, being obese children status and gender,father's age factor, eating type, breakfast eating condition, lunch status, eating dinner situation,time to eat breakfast in the morning, time to eat dinner, eat discrimination condition, vegetable consumption frequency of fruit consumption frequency, legumes consumption frequency, nuts frequency of consumption of red meat consumption frequency, white meat consumption frequency, dairy products cconsumption frequency and pizza and kebabs were found to be significant differences between the factors frequency consumption. Children age children with obese that case, the number of individuals in the family, the family'monthly income, mother's age and education level, parental education status, their age and the type of housing, obese individuals entity status at home, cooking by the home health problem situations, daily meal quantity of meals an irregular number of hours, between-meal food consumtion, most commonly skipped meal, lunch time at home most consumed and the srush consumed food, bread/cereal consumption frequency of sweet consumption frequency of fast food consumption frequency, pastry consumption frequency and coke consumption frequency was determined to be significant differences between factors. In this study, which the family eating and drinking behavior to become obese children it has been tried to learn and how to be the effect.
