Problems encountered in the teaching of social studies teachers by social studies in socio-economically disadvantaged regions (Sample of Ağrı provine)

The aim of this research is to determine the problems social educators of social studies teachers working in Agri province center, district center and villages, which are disadvantaged in socioeconomic aspects. In the study, a descriptive screening model was used by Ibrahim Akşit in social studies teaching in primary education. The study group of the study constitutes 181 social studies teachers working in Ağrı province center and districts in the academic year 2015-2016. Problems encountered in the research are divided into four main categories as problems arising from the teacher, the student, the curriculum and the education-training process. Teachers' responses to these problems have been investigated in terms of age, gender, educational status, post-graduate education, service duration, in-service training, school socio-economic status and whether there is a difference between self-sufficiency variables. The data obtained with descriptive statistics techniques were analyzed using the SPSS 22 packet program. The answers of the teachers to the problems have been tried to be interpreted by creating the tables of standard deviation, mean and frequency according to the variables. As a result of the research, it is observed that the students are not able to use other educational materials besides the textbooks because of their low socio-economic status and because the classrooms are crowded due to the inadequacy of the classrooms, the teachers are using traditional methods for social studies, Teachers are not satisfied with their professional and social status, they are not in the desired level, the materials needed for the lessons can not be presented, the teachers are not satisfied with the teacher's social status and 3 hours a week, social studies lessons are not enough to train the curriculum.
