Pandemic of students faculty of sports sciences using distance education environment in the process examination of attitudes and internet addictions

In this study, it was aimed to examine the attitudes of the students of the faculty of sports sciences to use distance education environments during the pandemic and their internet addictions. In this study, the relational survey model was used in the quantitative research model. The research population consists of 827 undergraduate students studying at Akdeniz University Faculty of Sports Sciences in the 2022-2023 academic year. A total of 398 undergraduate students participated, using a random sample as a sample. Personal information form, Yıldız et al. (2021), the attitude scale regarding the use of distance education environments during the Pandemic process and Kutlu et al. (2016) Young's Internet Addiction Short Test, adapted in Turkish, was used. Statistical results were made with the SPSS 23 package program. In line with the normal distribution given in the analysis of the data obtained, t-test for paired comparisons, ANOVA test for multiple comparisons and Pearson correlation coefficient for the relationship were checked. The results were moaned at the p<.05 significance level and there was a significant difference between the attitudes towards using distance education environments during the pandemic process according to the variable of active sports status. The attitude score of those who do active sports is higher than those who do not. When we examined the variables of gender, grade level, department studied and the number of training days per week, no significant difference was found in the levels of internet addiction and attitudes towards using distance education environments. Finally, in the relationship test, a positive and significant relationship was observed between Internet Addiction scores and Attitudes towards Using Distance Education Environments.
