Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in order to reveal the relationship between the attitudes of the students of the faculty of sports sciences towards performance enhancement and healthy nutrition. The sample group of our research consisted of Bartın University students, consisting of 442 participants. In the study, "Personal Information Form, Attitude Scale Towards Increasing Performance and Attitude Scale Towards Healthy Eating" were used. When the statistical data of the study were examined, since it showed normal distribution, t-test was used in paired groups, Anova test was used in groups of three or more, and Perason Correlation test was used to compare the scales. Attitudes Towards Performance Enhancement (PAT-S) It is seen that the younger participants in the age variable and the male participants in the gender variable have statistically higher scores. No difference was found in the variables of university department, monthly income, year of doing sports, active sportsmanship and branch. Attitude towards Healthy Eating (SBIÖ) in the sub-dimension of knowledge about nutrition; The older participants, the female participants in the gender variable, the participants with a higher income in the monthly income variable, and the participants who have been involved in sports for a longer time in the year of doing sports have statistically higher scores. For other variables, no difference was detected. In the sub-dimension of emotion towards nutrition, the scores of the participants who were older in the age variable were higher than the participants whose age was 25 and below. No difference was detected in other variables. In the positive nutrition sub-dimension; Participants with high monthly income and participants with high years of doing sports had higher statistical scores. No difference was detected in other variables. In the sub-dimension of malnutrition; Participants with low monthly income and participants who do not do active sports have statistically higher scores. No difference was detected in other variables. In total nutrition; Statistically, the scores of the participants who are older, those with a higher monthly income, those who are interested in sports for a long time, and those who do active sports are statistically higher. No difference was found in the other variables. In our study, it was determined that university students' attitudes towards performance were a significant determinant of their attitudes towards nutrition. It is possible to say that 9% of the variance in the attitudes of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences towards nutrition is explained by the attitude towards performance.
