Totheresearch, suitablesamplingmethod 502 volunteerstudentsjoinedfromfacultiesandcolleges of providingsporteducation in the Dumlupınar University, Kocaeli University, Anadolu University, Mersin Universityand Gaziosmanpaşa University in the 2015 - 2016 academicyear. The "BasketballAttitudeScale" developedandvalidatedby Erman Öncü, Bülent Gürbüz and H. Mehmet Tunçkolwasused in thepersonalinformation form developedbytheresearchers. TheKolmogorow-Smirnov test, which is thenormality test, wasperformed on thedistributions of thedataand it wasrevealedthatthe data supportnon-parametricconstruct. Thesubscales of BasketballAttitudeScale of participantstudents, in ordertounderstandwhetherthere is a significantdifferencebetweenattitudesaccordingtotheuniversitiesanddepartmentsKruskal-Wallis test wereperformed at p = 0.05 significanceleveland Mann Whitney-U test wereperformedaccordingtogender.Findingsrevealedthatparticipants had significantdifferences in basketballattitudelevelsaccordingtogender, sportsbranchageandwelfarelevel, whilethereweresignificantdifferences in valuessubscaleaccordingtothesectionsandclassestheyreadandonly in theactionsubscaleaccordingtosportssituations.
