Investigation of the relationship between sports high school students with "OVID-19 phoby and optimism-pessimism

It is thought that partial and general quarantine practices, along with the measures taken during the pandemic process, and the difficulties experienced in accessing food and cleaning products can make fear and anxiety situations dominant in the psychology of the person. In this study, while trying to reveal the relationships between Covid 19 phobia and optimism and pessimism, the relevant literature has been scanned and sub-headings such as Covid 19 pandemics, pandemics from past to present, adolescence, optimism-pessimism have been used. The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between Covid 19 Phobia and Optimism and Pessimism status of Sports High School Students. 179 students, 84 female and 95 male, studying at Düzce Sports High School participated in the study. The "COVID-19 Phobia Scale (C19P-S)" was used to measure the coronavirus phobias of the students, and the "Optimism Pessimism Scale for Adolescents" was used to determine the optimism and pessimism levels of the youth. The research was designed according to the relational screening model. At the same time, Independent-Samples t-test analysis, One-Way ANOVA (One-Way Analysis of Variance) were used. There was a positive and low-level significant relationship between the students' Covid 19 phobia and their pessimism levels. It was determined that there was a significant difference between the gender of the students and the psychological, somatic, social and economic sub-dimensions of the Covid 19 phobia scale. It was determined that there was no significant difference between the students' age, class, mother's education, father's education, Covid status and phobia. It was determined that there was no significant difference between the optimism and pessimism levels of the students and gender, age, class, mother's education level, father's education level, Covid status, and having a phobia
