The effect of job satisfaction levels of sports education specialists on career planning attitudes

In this study, it is aimed to examine the effect of job satisfaction levels of Sportive Education Specialists on career planning attitudes in terms of some variables. The research model is descriptive, and it is a quantitative research in relational survey model. The population of the research consists of 1500 Sports Education Experts working in the central and provincial organizations of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the sample group consists of 290 Sports Education Experts selected by random method and reached on a voluntary basis. A scale form consisting of three parts was used in the study. In the first part, questions were asked to determine the demographic information of the sample group. In the second part, the Career Planning Scale of Students Studying in Sports Sciences (KPÖ), which was developed by Yavuz Eroğlu and Eroğlu (2020), consisting of 5 likerts "Totally Agree, Agree, Undecided, Disagree, Never Agree" was used. The said scale consists of 5 sub-dimensions and 23 items. In the third chapter, Weis et al. (1967) and adapted into Turkish by Baycan (1985), the 5-likert type Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (MIS) ranging from "1-Not at all satisfied to 5-Full satisfied" was used. The scale in question consists of 2 sub-dimensions, internal satisfaction and external satisfaction, and 20 items. SPSS 25 package program was used in the analysis of the data. . First, the normality distribution of the data was examined. After statistical procedures, it was accepted that the kurtosis skewness values of the scale dimensions were between +2 and -2 and the data set came from a normal distribution (George & Mallery, 2010). Parametric tests were used for the normally distributed data set. Accordingly, t-test was used for pairwise comparisons and One Way ANOVA test was used for multiple comparisons. Pearson Corralations were applied for the statistical operations of the scale dimensions and the relationship between them, and multiple regression analysis was used to determine the predictive role between the relationships. As a result of the research, it was seen that career planning did not have a significant effect on job satisfaction, while internal satisfaction, one of the sub-dimensions of job satisfaction, was a significant predictor on career planning.
