Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the perceived benefits and life commitment of individuals participating in sportive recreational activities. The research group consists of 415 individuals who actively participate in sportive recreational activities in recreational parks and areas. Personal Information Form, Recreational Utility Scale and Life Commitment Scales were used as data collection tools. The analysis of the data obtained was made through SPSS package program. In addition to the descriptive statistics of the data obtained, independent samples t-test was used to compare paired groups, One-Way ANOVA analysis was used to compare groups of more than two, and Pearson Correlation analysis was used to determine the direction of relationships between variables. According to the findings obtained; the recreational benefit and life commitment levels of individuals who continuously participate in sportive recreational activities are statistically significant and higher than those who do not participate continuously. The life commitment levels of individuals with high weekly participation time in sportive recreational activities were significantly and higher than those with low weekly participation time. In addition, the recreational benefit levels of participants with higher education level are statistically significant and high. In addition, it was determined that there was a moderate positive relationship between recreational benefit and life commitment. As a result, it is seen that continuous participation in sportive recreational activities increases recreational benefit and life commitment, and in addition, as the recreational benefit obtained from sportive recreational activities increases, life commitment will increase. In order to facilitate continuous participation in sportive recreational activities, it is recommended to increase the physical facilities and capacities of recreation parks and areas.
