Özet (EN)
Foam Roller and myofascial release application methods are widely used in warm-ups before and after sports activities, and these methods are open to development and research. The aim of this study; The aim of this study is to examine the acute effects of static stretching and foam roller applications applied to the quadriceps muscle group on muscular endurance repetition performance. 21 volunteer male individuals between the ages 18-32 participated in the study. The study was carried out according to the cross-experiment design. The study was carried out in 4 sessions. In the first session, the participants' height, body weight and body fat percentage were measured in the morning. Then the participants were randomly divided into 3 groups; The 1st group is the static stretching group (SG), the 2nd group is the foam roller group (KS), and the 3rd group is the control group (KG). In the next 3 sessions, the participants changed groups and continued to work. During the session changes, the participants were given 48 hours of rest. Before starting the sessions, the participants' 1 repetition maximal weights were determined. The muscular endurance performances of the participants were determined by the retest on the leg extension machine. Participants performed the muscular endurance test with 70% of their maximal weight for 1 repetition. Static stretching and foam roller exercises were applied in 3 sets between the pre-test and post-test, each set for 30 seconds. The participants were given 30 seconds of rest between sets. The maximum number of repetitions that the participants could do in the pretest and posttest was used in statistical analysis. Friedman and Wilcoxon tests were used in the statistical analysis of the data. According to the results of the statistical analysis, it was determined that there was a significant decrease in the number of repetitions after the static stretching application (p<0.05), and there was a statistically significant increase after the foam roller application (p<0.05). As a result, it was found that static stretching exercises performed on the quadriceps muscle group for 3 sets of 30 seconds adversely affected the quadriceps muscular endurance performance, but foam roller exercises positively affected the muscular endurance performance. For this reason, it may be recommended to perform foam roller exercises before muscular endurance performance.
