Abstract (EN)
There are two types of crime schedules named as 'incidents of felonies' and 'general crime schedules'. While general crime schedules give information about the characteristics of the perpetrators, incidents of felonies give information about cases. This study progressed over the two schedules which mentioned above. These schedules should have been kept within the framework of a decision taken after 1878, but it is seen that taken decisions were not implemented properly because of the wars and the uprisings in the country. Under normal circumstancesi incidents of felonies schedules should have been kept regularly every month but those had been kept irregular and and incomplete. In this study, felonies committed in Diyarbekir province between 1912 and 1917 are discussed. More than one religious groups were taking place in this province, the schedules about incidents of felonies which were held for 24 months and the general crime scales which were held for 12 months were taken from Ottoman archieves. Through these schedules, felonies against to human life and body, to the property, to women and finally to the government security will be researched. Furthermore, statistical data in this study and the general structure of the society were evaluated sociologically through the rates of crimes and criminals.
