Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this thesis, water soluble and non-aggregated silicon phthalocyanines bearing dimethylamino and acetyl piperazine groups at axial positions were synthesized and determined their DNA binding, DNA cleavage, topoizomerase I activities and cytotoxicity against some human cancer (breast, melanoma, prostate, liver and lung) cells. All of obtained results demonstrated that tested compounds had lead agents toward breast, melanoma, prostate, liver and lung cancer due to their strong DNA binding, efficient DNA cleavage, topoisomerase inhibitory and cytotoxic effects.
