Abstract (EN)
In this study; Hydrogeological, hydrochemical and isotopic properties of underground waters in Sultanhanı (Aksaray) plain and its surroundings were investigated. The data recorded by the precipitation stations representing the study area were evaluated. Using the Thornthwaite and Penman method, the potential and actual evaporation-sweating amount in the region was calculated and the groundwater balance was formed. The amount of water entering and leaving the hydraulic system has been calculated and interpreted. The aquifer structure of the stratigraphic units in the region was examined and their permeability properties were classified. Studies were carried out in May 2019, October 2019 and May 2020 to examine, classify and determine the physical, chemical, and isotopic properties of groundwater. Comparison graphics were created by using the physical parameters of groundwater and distribution maps were prepared by IDW interpolation technique. By using the chemical parameters of the groundwater, comparison graphs, Gibbs, Piper, Durov, and Semi-logarithmic (Schoeller) diagrams and distribution graphs were created and facies properties were determined. In order to evaluate the water quality and usage characteristics of groundwater, Schoeller drinkability, USA Salinity, Wilcox, diagrams were created and compared with WHO and TSE-266 standards. To evaluate the water quality and usage characteristics of groundwater, Schoeller drinkability, USA Salinity, and Wilcox, diagrams were created and compared with WHO and TSE-266 standards. Within the scope of the study, isotope analyzes (δ18O, δ2H, 3H) were carried out in groundwater. Comparative diagrams of isotope parameters of groundwater (δ18O-δ2H, 3H-δ18O, 3H-EC, 3H-Cl) were prepared and evaluations were made. Geostatistical evaluations were made using the EC, T.Ç.K.M, Na, Cl, SAR, %Na, Ca, Mg, and HCO3 values of the groundwaters. With the help of geostatistical calculations, the distribution characteristics of the parameters in the study area were determined and semivariogram models were created. Evaluations were made by creating prediction maps with the kriging interpolation method using semivariogram models.
