Özet (EN)

This study examines the works of Supiyanat Mamayeva, one of the prominent figures in Kumyk literature, within the framework of national identity. Mamayeva's poetry reflects themes such as love for the homeland, freedom, language preservation, cultural heritage, the effects of war, and social unity, all conveyed in a simple yet impactful manner. Her works not only highlight the historical and cultural values of the Kumyk people but also address universal human values. Mamayeva's poems vividly depict the hardships faced by her people, the traumas caused by wars, and the resilience shown by the Kumyk community. Through powerful imagery, poems such as "Vatanım" (My Homeland), "Durmuyor mu?" (Doesn't It Stop?), "Türküm Var" (I Have a Song), and "Ana Dil" (Mother Tongue) explore themes of patriotism, the struggle for independence, and the deep connection to the Kumyk language. Her use of metaphors and depictions of nature serve as expressions of the spiritual resilience and hope of her people, while also promoting messages of social solidarity. Mamayeva's emphasis on the Kumyk language as an essential element of national identity and her calls for its preservation demonstrate her profound dedication to the cultural heritage of her people. Particularly in "Ana Dil", she equates the Kumyk language to her mother's voice, underlining its role not only as a tool of communication but also as a carrier of the community's moral and spiritual values. This study highlights Mamayeva's dual role as both an individual artist and a collective voice for her community, emphasizing her significance as a source of inspiration and a literary leader for the Kumyk people. Her themes resonate beyond the Kumyk community, encompassing universal values, and her works are recognized as an integral part of Kumyk literature and the broader literary richness of the Turkic world.
