Abstract (EN)

The relationship between long-term sustainable economic growth and education, which is one of the most important issues on economics, is among the topics that have been intensively studied in recent years in the literature of economic growth. The theoretical and practical studies and observations on the effects of education / human capital on sustainable economic growth show that countries that have achieved successful marks in international test exams measuring the qualifications of countries' education systems, such as the PISA exam, also have successful economic performance. Another issue determined by the studies made, shows that the education systems of the countries that succeeded in the PISA exam have some common features such as the selection of the teacher candidates and the education of the teachers, the cooperative and sharing working environment among the teachers, the teacher fees being higher than the average wage of the countries.
