In this context, the fifth, sixth and seventh grade Social Studies textbooks were examined in the context of sustainable development. In the research, it was carried out by Document Analysis, and each textbook was considered as a document. In addition, the opinions of 17 Social studies teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Polatlı district of Ankara province were consulted in order to provide data diversification in order to determine how Social Studies teachers place content related to sustainable development in their classrooms. Face-to-face interviews attract attention as a technique that is often used in qualitative research. As a result of the study, although Social Studies textbooks are not included directly under the name of sustainable development, it was found that the most social sustainability, then economic, and at least environmental sustainability-related topics are included in the scope of sustainable development, the most informative texts are included, and at least graphics.
