Fuzzy goal programming and a business application in sustainable supplier selection

The supply chain can be defined as a system that includes customers and suppliers who supply raw materials for production processes, transform them into semi-finished and finished products and send them to customers. Managing the supply chain is an important issue that companies need to implement in order to gain advantage in the market. One of the most important problems encountered in supply chain management is how to select the supplier. In this process, it is possible to use different criteria such as quality, price, service, supply time, as well as increasing competition with the developing technology. There are many criteria such as flexibility, innovation and customer service. In addition, the criteria used in the supplier selection process may differ due to sectoral needs and different situations of companies. In the current study, a sustainable supplier selection was made for the production process of AEMAK Machinery Engineering Industry Trade Limited Company, which operates in Aksaray Organized Industrial Site and produces various grain handling systems for grain storage silos and horizontal grain storages. A Multi-Objective Linear Programming model was established according to sustainable criteria and positive and negative ideal solutions were specified in this process where conveyors are produced. Then, depending on these solutions, the objective functions were converted to fuzzy targets and solutions were made using the MA approach. According to the results obtained, the quantities to be purchased from each supplier were determined.
