Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Nature of Science activities, that are included in progress oriented guided inquiry learning, on students' concenptual changes and scientific reasoning skills. This research is a quasi experimental study and also in this research pre test last test control group experimental study was used. The study group of this research consists of sixty students who study at a state school in Adıyaman, thirty of them were experiment group, the other thirty of them were control group. While gathering the data, academic success test, scientific reasoning test, worksheets, student interview forms and student diary forms were used. The answers to academic success test and scientific reasoning test were analysed by using difference tests, the answers to student interview forms and student diary forms were analysed with descriptive statistical method. Also, it is determined that designed learning environment positively contributes to students' academic success, scientific reasoning skills, conceptual change, communicative skills, thinking skills, attitudes toward science course and teacher and participation in the course.
