A study on Süreyyya Evren's novels and stories

Süreyyya Evren is among the authors who have uniquely utilized the fundamental elements of postmodern literature in Turkish literature; in her novels and short stories, she frequently highlights the relationships between the individual and society, identity issues, and political and social criticism. This study aims to examine Evren's literary world by conducting a comprehensive analysis of her novels and short stories. Evren's breaking with traditional narrative patterns and portraying her characters as unusual and often marginal is considered a significant feature reflecting her critical approach to societal norms.This study aims to reveal Evren's literary identity and the unique perspective she has brought to Turkish literature by critically evaluating her works. As a method, Evren's novels and short stories are analyzed using descriptive analysis, and thematic and technical characteristics are evaluated within the framework of literary theories. In this study, the plots, characters, setting, time, narrator and point of view, narrative techniques, and thematic depths in the author's works are analyzed in detail. The place and importance of the works within the context of postmodern literature have also been examined using a comparative method.
