The History of Fourty Vizier (First 126 page) (Review-text)

In this study, Tarih-i Kırk Vezir (the History of Fourty Vizier), which is one of the most important examples of the story genre in the prose of 15th century Turkish literature, examined in terms of language. Tarih-i Kırk Vezir is made up of stories, the framework of which is stories told by the hatuns (laydies) and the viziers in order to convince them of the thoughts they defend. These stories are the subject of our work in terms of that they reflect prosperity of language and expression of Turkish prose literature. There are many copies of the work both in Turkey and abroad. The copy we studied is located in İBB Atatürk Library and printed by the Emniyet Library in Hijri 1329 (1911) in Matbaa-i Ebuzziy. The work consists of 261 pages. The study is based on the first 126 pages of this work and consists of examination and text chapters. In the examination chapter, the spelling, phonetic and morphological features of the text were presented. In the text section, there is the transcription of the work.
