Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this thesis, studies have been conducted on the video camera-based monitoring of historical masonry minarets' structural health. The thesis consists of four main sections. The first section includes a review of previous studies. The second section encompasses accelerometer-based operational modal analysis sections conducted in the laboratory environment, field-based video camera operational modal analysis studies, and earthquake simulation studies. In the laboratory environment, modal analyses were performed by creating an ANSYS® finite element model of a miniature minaret model, and images were captured using an industrial camera system to obtain modal parameters, followed by analysis conducted using Python programming language. The frequency values of the structure were determined using accelerometers, and the values were verified. Video footage was captured from the Fatih Büyük Mosque minaret as part of field studies, and analyses were conducted. Locations where stress accumulations were maximum, as determined by the ANSYS® finite element method, were identified, and earthquake simulations were performed. The third section presents the results obtained from the thesis study. The final section includes recommendations.
