Art&crafts phenomenon in Afyonkarahisar according to Taşpinar magazines (1932-1959)

The journal of Taşpınar has an important place in Afyonkarahisar's history of press. The journal derives its importance from the role that Afyonkarahisar played in the National Struggle and from the fact that it began publication after the establishment of the young Republic. One of the most important jobs to raise awareness in the nation is to shed light on the past. All the work to be carried out in the journals of Taşpınar, which we believe is a treasure hidden in the cultural history of Afyonkarahisar, is important in this respect. The journal of Taşpınar, which we analyzed, started to be published in 1932. Especially in order to understand the National Struggle and the terms of the period, every article published in this journal has a special importance. In this thesis, the perspectives of the intellectuals and people living in Afyonkarahisar between 1932-1959 will be examined regarding art and craft, and the craft elements of the period will be examined by observing the development of art in time. This thesis is an important and original study in that it examines the perspective of society on art and the effects of art on society as well as the craft elements of the period through the journals of Taşpınar Journal, which have an important place in the history of Afyonkarahisar. In the thesis study, while the historical development of the phenomenon of art, the elements of craft, its importance and scope, its reflections on education and literature in Afyonkarahisar were examined with the help of the issues from the first period of the journal of Taşpınar, general information provided to the public through the articles and works of famous authors was used. The journal of Taşpınar was published by Halkevi on the 19th day of every month, and special issues were published on the 10th anniversary of the Republic, on the Liberation Day of Afyonkarahisar, and on April 23 Children's Day. The journals of Taşpınar tried to shed light on today with the help of original documents about the history of the middle and late Republican period.
