Abstract (EN)

In this study, antifeedant effect of chloroform, hexane and water extracts against Ephestia kuehniella Zeller. was investigated. Chloroform, hexane and water extracts are obtained from Tanacetum heterotumum (BORNM.) GRIERSON, Tanacetum alyssifolium (BORNM.) GRIERSON, Ferulago longistylis BOISS. and Ferulago glareosa Kandemir&Hedge which grow in various regions of our country. Antifeedant test is a study to determine the effects on Ephestia kuehniella Z. larvae. Chloroform, hexane and water extracts were prepared in 4 different doses (50, 100, 200 and 500 ppm) and applied to E. kuehniella larvae in flour separately. After 24 hours, results showed the larvae to be antifeedant. The water, chloroform and hexan extracts of the plants used in the study were determined to have significant statistical effects on the E. kuehniella larvea. With an increase of the water extract concentrations, F. glareosa and T. heterotomum were observed to have antifeedant effects and the F. longistylis and T. alyssifolium species encourage feeding. F. glareosa, T. heterotomum and T. alyssifolium extracts were determined to be antifeedant whereas the F. longistylis affects feeding along the same values. 250 and 500 ppm hexan extract concentrations of the F. longistylis, T. heterotomum and T. alyssifolium were seen to have strong antifeedant effects.
