Abstract (EN)

Since the vast majority of the geography of Turkey is under the effect of earthquake risk, it is necessary to fully comply with the earthquake regulation conditions in force and including minimum conditions during the design of building load-bearing systems. Within the scope of this thesis study, the analysis and design of a high-rise building load-bearing system with BYS=1 according to TBDY 2018 was carried out in four different soil classes, namely ZA, ZB, ZC and ZD, according to TBDY 2018 Section 13. In the analysis and design of each soil class, the design according to strength (linear analysis and design) and the evaluation and design according to deformation (non-linear evaluation and design) calculation stages were examined. In the linear analysis and design section, earthquake loads were calculated with the mode combination calculation method, and in the non-linear evaluation and design section, with the analysis calculation method in the time history. In the last section of the thesis, the effect of different soil classes on the dimensions and reinforcement of the load-bearing system elements was examined. This study is intended to be an exemplary study for engineers who do project design in the relevant field.
