A comparative analysis of the verses of tehaddith by the commentaries of tafsir Al-Ta'wīl Al-Qur'ān and Menār

The greatest miracle given to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) is undoubtedly the Holy Qur'an. Since the day it was revealed through Gabriel (a.s.), the Holy Qur'an has faced many oppositions. The most important response of the Qur'an to its opponents is that it calls them to bring a copy of itself. The Qur'ân al-kerîm's challenge to its opponents to "bring a copy of the Qur'ân" is called Tehâddî. As a matter of fact, no one has been able to give a successful answer to this challenge of the Holy Qur'an, neither in the time of the Prophet (pbuh) nor in the following ages. Undoubtedly, the fact that the challenge of the Holy Qur'an could not be answered in the past is a clear and unequivocal proof that it cannot be answered today or in the future. However, in the past, some of the disbelieving opponents, poets and writers, masters of eloquence, false prophets, etc. Tried to imitate the Qur'ân al-kerîm and to bring its likeness. There are many narrations, claims and rumors on this subject. As a matter of fact, in this study, we have chronologically investigated these allegations, the accuracy of the allegations, whether the Qur'ân al-kerîm has been imitated or not, who has made a counter-argument against the Qur'ân, and the "verses of tehaddî'" in the Qur'ân al-kerîm, which are considered in this context, by the commentators of Imam Mâturîdî and Rashîd Rızâ, whose views we take as basis in the subject matter. This thesis titled "A Comparative Analysis of the Verses of Tehaddî by the Commentaries of Tafsir al-Ta'wīl al-Qur'ān and Menār" consists of an introduction and five chapters. The introduction gives information about the purpose and method of the thesis. In the first chapter, pre-Islamic Arab life, social-economic life in the Arabs of the Jāhiliyya period, the belief of idolatry in the Arabs, other beliefs of the Arabs, etc. Were discussed. In the second chapter, the semantic analysis of the word "jāhiliyya", the concept of the jāhiliyya period, the position of poetry and poets in the jāhiliyya period, the attitudes of the Prophet (pbuh) towards poets and poets towards the Prophet (pbuh), the examination of the concept of "Muallakat", muallaka poets, and the fairs established in the jāhiliyya period were emphasized. When we come to the third chapter, the semantic analysis of the concept of "Kizb", the denial and counter-attitudes of the opponents against the Prophet (pbuh), the claims of the opponents against the Prophet (pbuh), our opinions and arguments against the counter-claims of the opponents, the culture of ancestors and the status of tribal ties were discussed. In the fourth chapter, the semantic analysis of the concept of "Tehaddî", the emergence of the concept of i'jâz, the conceptual framework of the concepts related to tehaddî / challenge, the uniqueness of the Holy Qur'an, the verses of Tehaddî, the direction, scope and characteristics of the verses of Tehaddî, Muaraza in the Holy Qur'an, attempts to challenge the Qur'an.
