The role of state and ideology in education during single party period

In this study, the ideological attitudes of the state governors are analysed in terms of the determination and implementation of education policies. In order to evaluate these attitudes the concepts such as ideology, discourse, state, reproduction and their influnces on education are theoretical taken into consideration. On the basis of such theoretical framework, the close connections of the implementation of educational policies between 1923 and 1946 in Turkey with the ideological references of the state govenors are tried to be explanied.
