Abstract (EN)

The rapid development of technology and the increase in the world population has led to changes in living standards. In parallel with the increasing need, the decrease in energy resources, especially those of fossil origin, makes the efficient and effective use of these resources inevitable. On the other hand, energy, which is the main input of almost every sector, is also one of the main cost elements in the textile sector. a particularly important place in terms of employment and exports within the sector in Turkey, there is necessity to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology and growing competition. Dyestuffs and other chemicals used in textile finishing businesses cause wastewater pollution. It has been determined that 700,000 tons of paint are produced annually worldwide. In the textile industry, 200 to 350 m3 of wastewater is generated per ton of product. Today, reducing both energy consumption and wastewater generation with significant pollution content has become one of the priority issues of the textile industry. In this study, heat recovery from dyehouse wastewater in a real textile business is discussed. The energy savings provided by heat recovery from wastewater and the time to cover the installation cost of the system were calculated, the results obtained were evaluated and recommendations were made.
