Abstract (EN)

This thesis aims to examine the transition from the concept of tectonics to digital tectonics through the relationship between weaving techniques and digital fabrication. The study consists of five stages: research, analysis, production, examination, and evaluation. The unique value of the thesis lies in providing a new definition to the concept of digital tectonics, outlining the transformation process of the tectonic concept into digital tectonics, offering a new classification for the interaction between textile and architecture through the development of digital fabrication tools, and addressing these processes with an interdisciplinary approach. In the first stage, a literature review was conducted on the transformation of the tectonic concept into digital tectonics. Secondly, concept maps were created based on correlation methods to expand and redefine the concept of digital tectonics. In the third stage, a module was developed by combining traditional weaving techniques with additive manufacturing systems. In the fourth stage, the digital tectonic analysis method and the developed module were evaluated. This thesis offers new perspectives on the application of the digital tectonic concept in practice. As a result of the thesis, the concept of digital tectonics has been identified as a method for transferring studies developed with the traditional weaving technique and additive manufacturing system into the future. .
