Day of judgement within the concept of surahs at-Takwir, al-Infitar, al-Inshiqaq

The Holy Qur'an is the last divine book which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and its provisions are valid until the doomsday (qiyamah). Doomsday which is among the main topics of Qur'an, expresses the perishment of the universe and the time when muqallafs (people accountable for worship) receive their result for akhirah (hereafter)tests. Scenes of doomsday are mostly described in parts twenty-nine and thirty. Surahs at-Takwir, al-Intifar and al-Inshiqaq in these chapters describe all phases of doomsday. These include scenes to take place on earth and in the sky during doomsday, phases after resurrection and answers to the thought structures of nonbelievers about the hereafter. In this study, it is aimed to describe the events to take place during doomsday within the concept of these surahs. This study consists of introduction, two chapters and conclusion. In introduction, the topic, purpose, and the method are explained. In chapter one, general information on the names of the surahs at- Takwir, al-Intifar and al-Inshiqaq, their relations with one another, the fact that they were revealed in Meccan period and notions which are terms in these surahs are included. In chapter two, the meaning of doomsday, its names which are used in Qur'an, the scenes to take place during doomsday on Earth and in the hereafter are included.
