Determination of optimal emotion ranges in tennis players: IZOF model

Abstract (EN)
The research was carried out to determine the optimal emotional range of tennis players by modeling the individual optimal function area (IZOF). In the study, the optimal emotional ranges of tennis players were determined in the levels of stress, anxiety, anxiety, depression and concentration disorganization. The research group consisted of 40 licensed tennis players who participated in the tennis competitions included in the activity program of the Turkish Tennis Federation. 'Personal Information Form', 'Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale', 'Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory' and 'Sports Anxiety Scale' were used as data collection tools in the research. In the analysis of the data, arithmetic mean and standard deviation techniques from descriptive statistics were used. In addition, t-test for independent groups in pairwise comparisons and one-way analysis of variance (Anova) in multiple comparisons were used. Tukey test was used to determine the source of variance. In the study, Pearson correlation coefficient technique was used to determine the relationship between the variables and multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the predictors of the variables. In the study, it was determined that there were individual differences in the stress, anxiety, anxiety, depression and concentration disorganization of the tennis players in the study, retrospective, pre-competition and post-competition optimal emotional ranges. In addition, it was determined in the study that the stress, anxiety, worry, depression and concentration disorganization levels of tennis players were moderate. In addition, a significant difference was found in the stress, anxiety, worry, depression and concentration disorganization levels of tennis players in terms of age, sports age, family income level, and whether there is a tennis court in the area where they live. In the study, no significant difference was found in the levels of stress, anxiety, worry, depression and concentration disorganization in terms of gender and competition time variables of tennis players. In the study, it was also determined that there was a positive and significant relationship between the stress, anxiety, worry, depression and concentration disorganization levels of tennis players; It has been observed that the stress levels of tennis players are a significant predictor of anxiety, anxiety, depression and concentration disorganization.
