Abstract (EN)
This study interest in determining of tecno-mechanical properties of Erzincanmarbles. In this intention, Granit Marble Mining Company?s quarry that are presentErzincan city were investigated.The geological unit in the studied area are the Cretaceous aged Anatolia volcanosedimentaryseries.Production methods is open surface step in the area. Obtained block size is about150*75*20 m.The samples taken from the marbles quarry were used for some experiments hadbeen realized at the Rock Mechanic and Soil Mechanic Laboratory of Karadeniz TecnicalUniversity Geology Engineering Department and Dokuz Eylül Universitiy TorbalıVocational School. Also techno-mechanical properties were determined.Block samples were collected to perform for laboratory tests.At the results of these tests, bending strength is 141.44 kg/cm2, stroke strength is 28kg/cm2, unconfined compression strength is 763.35 kgf/cm2,böhme surface strength is10.04 cm3/50 cm2, porosity is % 0.34, weight loss after freezing ? thawing test is %0.25,weight loss after wetting ? drying test is %0.06, unit weight is 2.69 g/cm3, schmidt strengthis 43.2, density: 2,72.
