Abstract (EN)

One of the leading applications of medical tourism is thermal tourism. Thermal tourism hotels attempt to satisfy their customers. Therefore the major aim of this study is to investigate the differences between perception and expectations of hotel customers based on their gender and marital status factors. The data was gathered from three popular thermal hotels located in Antakya region. The survey was fulfilled by 251 current customers and the results were indicated by descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, and t-test. Results showed that, the differences between perception and expectations are all negative that means that, all hotel facilities (20 items) are not met the expectations of customers. Adding to these however the gender variable has positive differences on two dimensions (totally guaranteed reservation and high qualified food and drink services), there is no significant differences with marital status.
