Abstract (EN)

Service life of the machine parts and tools are limited by wear and corrosion in the service conditions. For this reasons, the protection of these materials in the corrosive environment and wear conditions is of major importance, especially for economic reasons. To solve these problems and having more service life, a new generation tool steels are produced. Instead of changing materials used in machine parts with new and more expensive ones, just improving the surface properties such as wear and corrosion is economical and a practical approach to the problem. For this reason, hard ceramic film coatings have shown vast improvement in recent years.In this study, using the technique of thermo reactive diffusion (TRD) it is aimed to increase hardness and abrasion characteristics of cold work tool steel and and thus increased tool life. For this purpose, using TRD methods, trowels and rollers surface are coated with Cr and V by means of diffusivity and try to have hard and also high wear resistance carbide.
