Abstract (EN)
In this study, thiophene substituted 14 novel hydrazide-hydrazone derivative compounds (3a-3n) were successfully synthesized. In addition, 13 new thiophene substituted hydrazide derivatives (4a-4n) were obtained in good yields by the reduction reaction of (3a-3n). All synthesized compounds were characterized by using the UV-Vis, FTIR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques. The chemicalstructure of (3f) was confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. At the same time, the antimicrobial activity screening of (3a-3n) and (4a-4n) were performed against five Gram (+) and Gram (-) bacteria and (Candida) species. The results from the antimicrobial activity tests show that the investigated compounds are moderately to good active, slightly active or not active against the tested microorganisms.
