Özet (EN)

In this study, TiZr alloy was produced as different porosities by conventional sintering from powder metallurgy (TM) methods. Optical images, SEM-EDX image analysis, XRD pattern analysis, compression strengths of produced samples and their biocompatibility in vivo were investigated. Ti-at%20Zr element pouders were mixed in a rotating vessel for 12 hours to obtain homogeneous mixtures before production. Later, powder mixture was mixed with ammonium bicorbonate to from pores structure, and then the mixture was briquette at different pressures. Finally the briquetted raw samples were sintered in an argon gas-protected oven at different temperatures for two hours. Thus, porous samples with porosity ranging from 3.17% to 40.40% were obtained. It was observed that the porosity decreases with increasing sintering temperature and cold pressing pressure. In the SEM-EDX and XRD analyzes of the produced samples, α (hcp) phase was seen and it was determined that compressive strength of samples increased with decreasing porosity, and also it was understood that the compressive strengthes of the produced samples were higher than that of bone. In the biocompatibility study performed in the in vivo environment, ıt was understood that the formation of new bone and fibrous tissue were good, and tissue necroses were not occurred. Key Words: Powder metallurgy, conventional sintering, biomaterial, biocompatibility
