Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the effects of seedling density and root undercutting on some morphological character of Lebanon cedar seedlings. It was determined that both seedling density and root undercutting time effected seedling morphological characteristics.Five different seedling density treatments (control, 70, 112, 168 and 217 seedlings/m2) affected seedling diameter (mm), stem dry weight (gr), shoot and root dry weight (gr). The best seedling fresh weight, seedling diameter, and stem and dry weight were achieved at 70, 112 and 168 seedlings/m2 in nursery.Root undercutting affected some seedling morphological characteristics (seedling height, stem weight, root weight, seedling dry weight). Root undercutting in August resulted in the highest morphological characteristics such as seedling height, seedling dry weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight.
