Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Construction of highways is very important for development of a country. It requires knowledge, experience, discipline, and fastidiousness. Bituminous pavement mixes whose constructing are the most important part of highways that cost very high. If the bituminous pavement is spoiled before period design. It causes a great deal of economic loss. Because of this reason, the quality control tests must be carried out at each phase. In this study, Torul limestone aggregate is chosen for determining performance in bituminous pavement mixes and bituminous binder with respect to mixture type and the quality control tests are carried out. Then, hot mixture design is prepared by Marshall method. After analysing the results, performance is determinated in the mixture of chosen aggregate. In chapter one, genarel infomation associated with the subject is outlined. In chapter two, test methods in practice about aggregate and binder, and hot mixture design with Marshall method are given. In chapter three, the results are given and discussed. In chapter four, conslusions and suggestions are given. This chapter is followed by the list of references.
