Abstract (EN)
In this study, powder mixtures with WC, Cr3C2 and FeCrC added to the surface of low carbon steel material were alloyed using submerged arc welding method. Three different current strengths (275A, 300A and 325A) were used in the surface alloy layers realized by submerged arc welding. Sections of the welded materials were taken from the welding zone and the properties of the coating such as hardness, microstructure and abrasion were examined. Optical microscopy, electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrograph (EDS) were used in microstructure studies. It was concluded that the hardness values of the alloyed sample surfaces and the abrasion amount decreased with increasing hardness.
