Evaluation of the faith tourism potential of the TR21 region from the perspective of tourism business certified enterprises

The objective of this study, "Evaluation of the Faith Tourism Potential of the TR21 Region from The Perspective of Tourism Business Certified Enterprises," is to convey the faith tourism potential of the TR21 Region as determined by previous studies, to make contributions, and to evaluate the current potential of tourism business certified enterprises in the region. Initially, the study encompassed a conceptual framework that addressed tourism and faith tourism, regional development, and tourism enterprises. Qualitative research methodologies were employed to acquire data through interviews. Interview queries were developed in accordance with the objectives of the study. From May 16 to June 15, 2024, interviews were conducted with a group of 40 participants, which included accommodation establishments with a tourism operation certificate, travel agencies from group A, and gastronomy facilities with a tourism operation certificate. Based on the research findings, it is evident that Edirne has a high belief in the tourism potential, whereas Kırklareli perceives it at a reduced level. Additionally, Tekirdağ does not perceive this potential.
