To Research the some physical and chemical parameters mounthly changes in the rivers of Galyan and Şimşirli which is supplying water for the Atasu dam in Trabzon

To Resarch The Some Fhysical and Chemical Parameters Mounthly Changes in The Rivers of Galyan and Şimşirli wich is Supplying Water for The Atasu Dam in Trabzon In this study, in Galyan and Şimşirli streams, flowing into the Atasu Dam take which is planned to supply potable water for the city of Trabzon, contamination status and water quality status that depend on the environmental factor will be revealed. For this reason, some pattern stations on Galyan and Şimşirli streams have been determined. Watersample, three in a month, have been taken between November 2001 and May 2002. Temprature, pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Dissolved Oxygen amout, Turbitiy (NTU), Organic Substances (pV), Sodyum (Na*), Potassium (K*), Nitrate-Nitrogen (NO3-N), Orthophosphate (PO4-P), Calcium (Ca+2), Magnesium (Mg+2), Total hardness, Permenant hardness, Temporary hardness parameters have been investigated in water samples. Temprature and pH parameters were measured in the field. However, Electrical Conductivity, Dissolve Oxygen amout, Turbitiy, Organic Substances, Nitrate-Nitrogen, Orthophosphate, Sodyum and Potassium analysis were performed in quality and control laboratories of 22nd Region Office of DSİ. In addition, Calcium and Magnesium parameters were measured in the Office of Forest and Soil Laboratories by Atomic Absorption. Finally, total hardness, permenant hardness and temporary hardness parameter were measured in KTU, Faculty of Forestry, Laboratories of Ecologi by titrametric method. Result of the parameters investigated in the water of Galyan and Şimşirli streaams were evaluated with respect to potable water standards and Inland Water Criteria. In the consequence of the evaluation, it is determined that the water of the streamsmentioned above is very clear in the point of these parameters and there is no drawback to use the water with regard to health.
