Abstract (EN)

In this research, karyotype analyses of four Vicia species distributed around Trabzon were studied. These species are Vicia cracca subsp. cracca, Vicia hirsuta, Vicia hybrida and Vicia sativa subsp. nigra. Seeds of the investigated species were germinated in incubator. The: root tips of germinated seeds were pretreated in 0.5% colchicine. Pretreatment was followed by feulgen staining. Stained root tips were squashed and made permanent. In investigated species while Vicia hybrida and V. sativa subsp. nigra have 2n=12 chromosomes, V. hirsuta and V. cracca subsp. cracca are 2n=14 choromosomes. There is a satellite on one arm of each pair of chromosome of all the four species. Determined chromosome types of these species are subacrocentric, submetacentrinc and metacentrinc. We have found some differences from the point of chromosome types and largeness.
