Abstract (EN)

In this study, the flora tourism potential of 7 districts (Akçaabat, Beşikdüzü, Çarşıbaşı, Düzköy, Şalpazarı, Tonya and Vakfıkebir) located in the western region of Trabzon was evaluated. When Trabzon and its surroundings were examined, 131 sample areas were determined in 48 plateau areas, including plant diversity and other factors that could be subject to tourism. Species with mass distribution in these areas are Colchicum speciosum Steven, Crocus vallicola Herb., Ornithogalum platyphyllum BOISS., Polygonum bistorta L. subsp. carneum (KOCH) COODE ET CULLEN, Rhododendron luteum Sweet, Rhododendron ponticum L., Scilla siberica HAW. subs. armena (GROSSH.) MORDAK as designated. Considering the availability of the species, the most common species were identified as Rhododendron luteum Sweet, Crocus vallicola Herb. and Colchicum speciosum Steven. The least common species is Polygonum bistorta L. subsp. carneum (KOCH) COODE ET CULLEN has been observed. In this context, data maps of the area were created in the GIS environment of the study area. A survey of 157 people was conducted in the areas determined as a result of the evaluations. Statistical analysis of the data obtained as a result of the questionnaires was made. As a result of the statistics, impact value maps of the areas were created. Again, within the scope of the findings, routes were created for users according to 3 different seasons. These routes include species blooming in the same season, leaf coloration, etc. It is aimed to plan the transportation with the most suitable route taking into consideration. In the study, the flora tourism potential of the western region of Trabzon has been revealed and suggestions have been developed for the proper use of this potential.
