A taxonomical investigation on the lichens of trabzon province

SUMMARY This study has been performed in Trabzon Province in the East Black Sea Region The samples were collected from the research area between May 1993- November 1995. The identification of the species has been done by comparing the results obtain by means of the chemical tests, microscopical and macroscopical studies to the 1 i terature. 222 species and 1 variete belonging to 35 families in Ascomycotina have been determined in the study area. It was understood that 39 species were new record for the Lichen Flora of Turkey, After comparing lichen species to the literature. Key Words: Lichen, Flora, Taxonomy, Trabzon XI
