Abstract (EN)

The need for new cellular systems has been increasing dramatically in recent years with the increase in demand for cellular radio services. Operators are forced to increase the system capacity to meet the growing mobile subscriber traffic. Therefore, new micro cellular systems are designed with smaller dimensions to meet the increase in capacty and protect the quality. In this study, for GSM 900 MHz, GSM 1800 MHz, UMTS 2 GHz, FM, VHF and UHF frequency bands, average electric field strength measurements have been taken in the city center of Trabzon in areas of dense settlement. The distances of the break point and the path loss values of four micro cell in the city center of Trabzon have been calculated with the help of the data obtained from measurements. The calculated values have been compared with the path loss prediction models proposed for micro cells. As a result of the comparison, the most appropriate model for the measurement region have been tried to determine. Graphical representations of the path loss curves were obtained using Matlab software. The average electric field strength values were shown on the maps using the Google Eart program.
