A Research On Spatial and Furniture Characteristics of Nurseries Examplified in Trabzon Today, in many area, interest in child has been inrease but in some areas chidren have not taken in to consideration. One of these areas is to give a private room to the child. One need to rouse following questions to determine. The reasons for this. What are the necesity and importance of children room in a house ? What are some impacts of this on children? What should be sizes, colours and furnitures of the children room. What type of furnitures of the children room. What type of furnitures had been built for children, and in what age? Historically, when did concept of child room develop, and became a part of planning? What is a dream room of the child? Many questions which mothers have to face in daily life will find answers with this research. This research has eight chapter. The first chapter is a literature review of development, perception, game, place, colour, ergonomics and anthromorfic size, and characteristics of pictures, functional spaces, sizes, colours and principles of amangement history of the furnitures and characteristics, and analysis of limited size children room. The second chapter defines the research problems reasons, aims of the study, field works ant the methodology of the research. VIThe third chapter provides documantation of surveys and computer works based on other chapter. The forth chapter discusses findings of the research. The fifth chapter deriues conclusions from teh f iudings. The sixth chapter gives recomraondation for further study based on findings. The seventh chapter presents evalutions of survey results on tables, pholograph of child room and plans and some of the drawings which have done by children.
