Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Determination of Radiation and Heat Balance in Trabzon Coasts. In this study, variation of heat transfer between atmosphere and sea surface layer and radiation balance at the sea surface, in 1994 in Trabzon and its surrounding, which is located 41° 00' N and 39° 43' E, was studied. Daily mean, monthly mean, seasonal mean and annual mean of sensible heat flux, latent heat flux, longwave radiation and shortwave radiation were computed to determine the changes. Radiation and heat flux laws were used to determine radiation and heat balances. Daily mean meteorological data obtained from Trabzon Meteorology Office was used for radiation and heat balance computations. Surface radiation balance on the sea in Trabzon and surroundings in 1994 was determined as 167.84 W/m2. In 1994 heat flux from atmosphere to sea surface layer was computed as 117.34 W/m2. The maximum heat flux from sea surface to atmosphere was determined as -133.23 W/m2 in November and maximum heat flux from atmosphere to sea surface was found to be 324.2 W/m2 in May. When seasonal heat flux was investigated between atmosphere and sea surface layer, maximum heat flux from atmosphere to sea surface was calculated for Spring as 302.41 W/m2 and maximum heat flux from sea surface layer to atmosphere was computed in Autumn as -84.22 W/m2.
